Roots Research Centre NGO is a Greek organisation, founded in 1998, that advocates and promotes deinstitutionalisation, the rights of children in alternative care and high-risk families, and the rights of adult adoptees. Also, we provide training for professionals in the field and foster parents, both privately and in cooperation with the public sector.
Roots R.C. is a full member of the Eurochild Network, and the working group on the child welfare system of the Centre for the Study of Social and Humanitarian Crises of the Social Work Department of the University of West Attica. Furthermore, the organisation has expertise in implementing Restorative Justice in the child protection system, as well as in biological family search and reunion.
